In
this section you can choose how much number of posts you want to display on
your main page I suggest you must show
five posts on your main page it sounds good to have a look five posts on your page otherwise It’s all upon you how much
you want to show posts on your main page.
Post template
(optional)
Post
template is optional if you want to use this or not it’s all upon you. Post
template is any text or code which be shown on
your posts when you create a post template then whatever you enter in the post template will be shown in your post
whenever you create a new post after setting this template.
Image lightbox
First
I am going to tell you about its functionality. “Image Light box” is used to
create a gallery or slider in your post.
When this item is selected, your images will be shown as a gallery the image
you
open on click will
open in an overlay on the top of your blog. If post has multiple Images, they
will
appear as thumbnails
in the bottom of the image you clicked to view. It looks amazing when this section is enabled.
Comments
Comment location
In this section you will be given two options here.
- Embedded: When this
item is selected users can reply on your posts directly.
- Full page and Popup
window: For this section users will be redirected to a new
window and there they can comment.
- Hide: Very important when you choose
this option “Hide” it doesn’t delete the previous
comments
you can show them at any time by selecting another option given above
(Embedded,
Full Page, popup Window).
Who can comment?
You can control and manage comments on you blog at your blogger
website by using this option “Who can comment”
select:
- Anyone: Choose this option when you
want that each and every one can comment on your
blog
even if one’s have Google Account or not it doesn’t matter everyone can
comment on your post.
- Users with Google Accounts: If you
select this option just Google users can comment on you
blog
no one else can comment except Google users.
- Only members of this blog: If you
have selected your blog to some custom members than
can
read the post just those person can comment on your blog no one else even
if someone has Google account or not.
Comment moderation
Comment moderation is also a very important part of blogger
website not for just Blogger website it is also important
for any other website. Through moderation you can review your comments before they are going to be published, for this Follow the steps below:
Settings>Comments>Moderation
- For posts
older than
if you selected "Sometimes" in the comment moderation section, only comments within that range of time will go into the moderation section. - Email
moderation requests to
you’ll receive an email alert when you get a new comment on your blog.
Reader comment captcha
Now this option is very important option in the New Blogger this
option is used when you want your reader to solve a
captcha. When this option is enabled than whenever your reader wants to comment on your blog post they’ll need to solve a word
verification step. This option is not applicable for the blog authors If any of blog author wants to comment they
don’t have need to solve the captcha for comment.
Note: Even if this setting is disabled some of the users or
commenters may have need to solve the captcha.
Comment form message
This message is very important whenever someone wants to comment
on your blog posts this message will be
shown beneath the comment box. You can add a custom text like
